Orascom Industrial Parks Unveils a New Vision for Sustainable Industrial Development
Orascom Industrial Parks (Orascom IP) has unveiled the Green Industrial Hub (GI-Hub) in Sokhna, introducing Egypt’s first purpose-built eco-industrial park and a new model for sustainable industrial development. Through this milestone, ORASCOM IP continues to support Egypt’s green transition while creating future-ready industrial environments.
Located in Sokhna within the Suez Canal Economic Zone, GI-Hub builds on the success and foundation of the Suez Industrial Development Complex (SIDC) while introducing a next-generation approach to green manufacturing. The development spans 3.35 million square meters and is designed to integrate sustainable infrastructure, circular economy principles, and environmentally responsible operations at scale.
GI-Hub creates more than 29,000 job opportunities and hosts a diverse mix of local and international manufacturers operating in green energy, water desalination, automotive components, and advanced materials.
ORASCOM IP developed GI-Hub to offer manufacturers an integrated ecosystem that supports long-term efficiency and ESG-aligned growth. The master plan incorporates energy-efficient utilities, water recycling systems, solid waste management solutions, and renewable power infrastructure, reinforcing Egypt’s commitment to sustainable industrialization under Vision 2030.
“GI-Hub reflects Orascom Industrial Parks’ commitment to shaping the future of industry in Egypt,” stated Eng. Amr El Batrik, CEO of Orascom IP. “By unveiling this eco-industrial hub, we are introducing a model that brings sustainability, innovation, and industrial growth together in one integrated environment.”
Strategically positioned near the Suez Canal and Egypt’s main maritime and logistics routes, GI-Hub offers manufacturers direct access to regional and global markets. This location is further supported by SCZone incentives, including 0% customs and VAT, 50% corporate tax refunds, and full foreign ownership, reinforcing Egypt’s competitiveness as a leading long-term industrial investment destination.
