The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has signed a land use agreement with Orascom Industrial Parks for the development and expansion of 3.3 km² in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, valued at EGP 12.87 billion, according to a release published by the Egyptian Cabinet on Thursday.
The industrial complex will have essential utilities, infrastructure, and services to support various industrial and service facilities and plug-and-play factories.
The development will be done in partnership with Orascom Industrial Parks, a joint venture between Orascom Construction (holding 60.5 percent) and a group of financial companies and investors.
This expansion is the latest phase of Orascom’s successful investments in the Sokhna Industrial Zone, which spans 10 km². Read more here.
