Orascom IP has a desalination and refinery water station that sources water from the Red Sea, as well as underground wells. This system provides a continuous supply of industrial water, as well as drinking water to the entire park. Our water network consists of the RO station, two STPS, pump stations, and two irrigation stations with a network that repurposes treated water. The RO Station has a total capacity of 10,000 m3/day, including storage water tanks, with plans to increase from 15,000 m3 to 40,000 m3 in the future. The two STPs, one with the capacity of 500 m3/day and another in the Plug & Play area with the capacity of 1500 m3/day. The two irrigation stations with total capacities of 2000 m3/day. Our pump stations (PS#1) handle a total capacity of 26,000 m3/day.
To protect water resources, Orascom IP has made wastewater management a priority. We collect, treat, and reuse wastewater, taking into consideration the environmental-related laws by constructing and managing many advanced sewage treatment plants. Our water network consists of the RO station, two STPS, pump stations, and two irrigation stations with a network that repurposes treated water. By using the newest technology, we treat the sewage wastewater and reuse it in irrigation of landscape as a recycle of liquid wastes to achieve economic and environmental targets
