Orascom IP ensures its clients a steady supply of electrical power, by establishing and operating its own electrical power transmission and distribution channels connected to the Economic Station by 5km of utility tunnels.
Our power network consists of 3 distributors, 22 KV medium voltage (14 cells) each, and one in Plug and Play. An additional distributor will be added to the commercial area in the future. 6 kiosks of medium voltage cover the industrial park, in addition to 4 in the Plug and Play area covering phase 1 & part of phase 2. Reinforced medium voltage aluminum cables inside the sector make up around 50,000-80,000 meters of connections to the Economic Station. Another 70,000 meters are direct connections from the station to clients through a 5000 meter long cable tunnel, with an additional 3500 meters to be added to the main boulevard in the future. Our street lighting network consists of 700 lighting poles and an additional 100 poles to be added in the future.
